Questions & Replies

  1. Something is wrong. The recipe makes about 6 gallons, which is about 768 ounces. For salad dressing, a standard serving size is 2 TBS, or one ounce. That means that this recipe serves 768 people, not 75! Maybe it is my math that is wrong, but I have rechecked it several times. I would like to try this recipe, but am still struggling to adapt it to reasonable home quantities.

  1. I have been searching for this recipe forever. Thank you so much for posting it. It is delicious. We love Outback ranch and now we can have it all the time! I made a low fat version by using fat free buttermilk and low fat mayo and it was still delicious.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing all of these outback recipes. Do you by chance still remember the Queensland chicken salad recipe? (i know it's been a while)

  3. This tastes EXACTLY like the ranch from Outback. I scaled this down, using 48 ounces of Duke’s mayo and 24 ounces of buttermilk. I added a bit of each seasoning, tasted it and adjusted until it tasted how I wanted. So good!

  4. This was sooo good, I can't believe I can make authentic tasting ranch at home. I also can't believe how simple it is. I stock up on spices and that makes it very economical. My go to recipe for delicious sauces.

  5. makes a lot but you can always cut down recipe - would be great with some hot sauce or sriracha stired in for a kick too!
