  • 14 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 - 1 12 lb left-over pork chop
  • 1 cup stir fry vegetables (I prefer snow peas and carrots, but broccoli would be good too!)

  • 14 teaspoon red pepper flakes (more or less depending on heat preference)
  • 14 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

directions

  • Cut the left-over pork chops into thin strips at a slight bias.
  • Heat 1 tablespoons seame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sautee until tender.
  • In the meanwhile, mix ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl or measuring cup.
  • Add pork to the garlic and onion and cook until warmed through
  • Add stir fry veggies and cook for about 2 minutes more, adding the sauce at the last minute. (A little cornstarch can be added here if you want the sauce thicker).
  • Serve over your favorite rice or noodles.

  1. This is my new favorite stir-fry recipe and it's such a great way to use up leftover meat from the night before!

  2. Delicious. Made as directed, except used l whole onion, sliced and more garlic ( at our house there is no such thing as too much garlic). I did double the sauce and was glad I did. By the way, 12 Tbls. honey is 6 oz. or 3/4 cup. There is no way I was going to measure all that honey by the Tbls. Ha. We enjoyed this very much. Quick and easy and delicious!

  3. Excellent way to use leftover pork. The sauce was a little too sweet for me, so next time I would reduce the honey and increase the soy sauce, but that's just a matter of personal taste. Thanks for sharing!

  4. We had a wonderful Crown Roast for Christmas dinner and I made this with some of the leftover pork. Came out very well and got rave reviews from my wife who does not like Chinese food and my 7 year old son who does not like anything but macaroni and cheese or yogurt! The only alteration I made was leaving out the crushed red pepper since I wanted to maximize the chances of the 7 year-old eating it. I'll add that in next time.

  5. Delicious the left over pork chops I had had got kind of hard and lifeless, this recipe brought them back to life and made an excellent dish, I added broccoli and substituted honey with teriyaki sauce.

Tweaks

  1. I added snow peas and sliced red bell pepper to the stir fry because that's what I had on hand. Loved it!

  2. I thought this was awesome, the only things I did differently was instead of pork chops I used leftover port tenderloin and did not use the sesame seeds as I did not have any in the cuppard like I thought I did. Really very good!
