  1. Why do some people need to vent about the recipe. If you noticed it said, 'only 5 ingredients ' since you are so food conscious, you should have known better. If it says 'old fashioned or homemade banana cream pie, you're good!!! Just saying ??????

  2. Are we back to the synthetic 1960's recipes with disgusting Cool Whip and instant pudding powder?? I ate this concoction growing up and thought it was good enough until I had the Real Thing with actual whipped cream and homemade vanilla pudding made simply with fresh ingredients. I could never stomach this synthetic recipe again. Cool Whip is made of hydrogenated vegetable oil, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, polysorbate 60, sorbitan monostearate, sodium polyphosphate, to name a few. It used to be dairy free (!), but they've thrown in some skim milk powder now. Use real cream, people! It's one ingredient - cream. It's from cows, not a lab. Instant pudding mix tastes exactly like it is instant. Sugar, Modified Food Starch, Contains less than 2% of Natural and Artificial Flavor, Salt, Disodium Phosphate and Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate (For Thickening), Mono- and Diglycerides (Prevent Foaming), Artificial Color, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Bha (Preservative). If you have a discerning palate, you will taste instant pudding and cool whip immediately. Don't call this recipe "French" by any means!

  3. Another 5 star review! Loved how quick and easy this was to make, and we enjoyed the sliced bananas on the bottom of the crust, thought that was a nice added touch!

  4. 5 stars for quick & easy & tasty! I used a refridgerated pie crust & just baked & cooled before adding the mixture. I was also unable to find french vanilla cool whip but had vanilla flavored whipping cream on hand (Cooks brand). I subbed it for the cool whip & was OH SO GOOD!

  5. So easy and So good!!! Everyone loved this pie and I loved how easy it was to make! I did not have french vanilla cool whip so I added some vanilla sugar to whipping cream. This kept well in the fridge overnight. Thanks KC for posting this recipe!! You Rock!
