I just returned from a trip to South America and found the pantry full of different hot dog buns and hamburger buns... that is what my poor BF survived on while I was gone I suppose! I was craving a salad, but we didn't have any croutons in the house and this was the perfect way to use up all those buns. I only used about 3 Tbs of a really good fruity olive oil for 5 buns. Instead of the seasoning salt, I used a little kosher salt and a combination of garlic and onion powder. I only had to bake about 10 minutes until they were golden and smelling wonderful. Thanks for a great way to use up all the leftover bread in my house from now on!!!
