"Cool and refreshing summer treat. The recipe calls for freezing in the freezer overnight. I used my ice cream freezer and the results were wonderful. This recipe comes from an advertising insert."

  1. This recipe does NOT have 35 calories per serving! FF Sweet. Cond. Milk only has 10 less calories than the regular. The actual calorie breakdown is: 1 - 14oz can FF Sw.Cond. Milk 1200 1 - medium cantaloupe 188 2T honey 128 For a grand total of 1516 If this is 9 servings then this is 168.44 calories per servings. That is almost 5 times the amount listed! Not a low calorie snack, in fact it is more than some low cal ice cream recipes, but it is a fat free one.

  2. Reviewed for ZWT7 Pacific Islands visit- such an easy to prepare ice-cream. Who'd have thought one rockmelon and one can of condensed milk could taste so good? My family loved this frozen dessert- served with fresh strawberries. 5 stars for a super easy and tasty recipe :D

  3. I only had regular sweetened condesed milk so it was bit richer. This is a little bit too sweet for my taste but I think this will be great for the warmer months coming up. It was very simple to make and only took a couple of hours in the freezer(no ice-cream maker). I will make this again for the summer. Thanks for posting. Made for ZWT5

  4. This was amazingly easy. I did use some cantaloupe and honeydew melon cubes, regular condensed milk, skipped the honey, added a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and placed it in the freezer in a Tupperware container. I think it will turn out well. Does anyone have a good way of not wasting stuff that sticks to the edge of cans? I fixed some Gingerbread Copper Moon coffee, and poured it in the condensed milk can and transferred it to my favorite coffee cup.

I came to this site in March of 2004. It was then called Recipezaar. This site was the first on-line site that I ever joined. I first popped in 2003 while searching for a Peach Cobbler Recipe. In March of 2004, DH was having shoulder surgery and I was looking for a Split Pea Soup. Once again I found myself on Zaar as it came to be called. Over the years I hung out and learned from some of the best home cooks in the country, I posted over 700 recipes on the site, reviewed over 3500 recipes and posted over 3000 food photos. Over the next 10 years the site made many changes and in 2010 it was sold to to Food Network and became Food.com. Until last year we played games, talked and shared with one another. As a result of the community and the relationships I built I got to meet some wonderful people from all over the country. I also have a great number of friends that I have never meet face to face. Some of us still hang out at various places across the net. Zaar was more than a cooking community. It was an internet community of friendship. Life is an adventure ever changing.
