I read several reviews of the this recipe that said the flavor was not what they expected and the sauce was runny. I simply substituted BBQ sauce for the ketchup. That help very much with the flavor and took care of the "runny sauce" complaint. Sometimes you have to add your own twist to a recipe to get it to your liking.

Loved, loved, loved this recipe. My husband doesn't even like ketchup cooked on anything and he ate two pork chops. This is very easy and so good. My only wish that I would have reduced the water to 1/2 cup because the sauce had lost alot of its flavor after cooking. Next time I will try chili sauce instead of ketchup. But the recipe is great as is. Oh, I did use creamy dijon mustard because it's all I had.

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7.
I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
